Adware

Adware or stands for Adevertising Ware, is a type of computer program that the function is to display ads on the screen.

Problems caused:

Adware is basically made for the needs of marketing a product or service. During Adware is used under normal conditions, not at all problematic or dangerous, such as adware are pinned on free programs to support the development of the respective application.

But Adware can be a problem if:

• Forcing to mount / install itself on a computer
• Stay in the computer and can not be / difficult to remove
• Retrieve data from computing activity and sends it to a specific source without confirmation from the owner of the computer
• Perform installation of other applications that are not related to the ads displayed

All Adware is possible to make a computer or system becomes slow because of the use of multimedia resources. In addition to the system, an Internet connection can potentially slow down because Adware always download the new creatives.

Some types of Adware like "pop-up ads" might irritate computer users because it appears at times when the computer is being used for other things unrelated to adware.

Prevention / neutralization:
1. Be careful to use application programs for free
2. Use anti-adware program such as Lavasoft Ad-aware artificial (www.lavasoft.com)
